JosaElegado

I take new products to market. I work out who a product is really for and what would make them believe in it, then I make the brand, the ads and the content that say it plainly.

Résumé

2020 to now

I'm a marketer with a background in technology commercialization. I spent three years at a government technology promotion agency, helping inventors and startups take products from prototype to market through positioning, partnerships, pitch events and impact measurement. I build brands and campaigns end to end, from naming and identity to social ads and video, and I use AI tools to research and produce faster.

  1. 2025 – now

    Co-founder, Commercial and Market Entry

    VESS Energy Corp. · Apolaki

    • Generated 120 solar assessments in 6 months by positioning Apolaki around a free, bill-based estimate and building the website and Facebook campaigns around that single step.
    • Secured interest from 35 solar installers and EPC partners in a pay-per-qualified-lead model, validating the startup’s revenue model before launch.
    • Grew @ApolakiAi to nearly 500 followers through awareness content that leads with rising electricity bills and points every post to the free assessment.
  2. Feb 2026 – now

    Program Manager

    DOST-TAPI

    • Established the agency’s first Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, building the impact framework, dashboards and digital workflows now used to track 200+ funded technology projects.
    • Delivered scale, reposition or close recommendations on 100+ commercialization projects under TECHNiCOM, IPRAP and GALING by assessing their market traction and impact data.
    • Connected 10+ inventors to intellectual property, financing and incubation support by building referral partnerships across the DOST system and outside organizations.
  3. May 2023 – Jan 2026

    Junior Program Manager

    DOST-TAPI

    • Secured ₱5M in government innovation funding by writing and negotiating grant proposals for 30+ early-stage technology projects.
    • Moved 10+ of 32 GALING Program projects to licensing, commercial pilots or market launch by matching inventors and startups with investors, industry partners and funding.
    • Drew 2,000+ entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders to 5+ local and international pitch events and workshops by planning, promoting and running each one.
  4. Mar – Apr 2023

    Project Assistant

    DOST-TAPI

  5. 2025 – now

    Independent Brand and Content Work

    Freelance

    • Collected 50+ waitlist sign-ups for Moopsie, a fresh milk subscription, by creating the brand from name to packaging and running a launch carousel and paid social test in BGC and Makati.
    • Turned BurnZone’s website into a booking channel for a two-branch gym in Bengaluru, bringing in 100+ free-trial bookings a month by leading with a free first class and WhatsApp booking.
    • Created a Refillka social campaign that sells refill to sari-sari store shoppers on value, showing that one bottle replaces 204 sachets and that ₱5 buys more product.
  6. Mar 2020 – Jul 2021

MoopsieFresh milk subscription

Making a milk subscription feel like a small treat

  • Naming
  • Identity
  • Packaging
  • Launch carousel
  • Paid social

Moopsie delivers fresh milk in glass bottles on a schedule the customer sets. I named it, designed the wordmark and built the packaging around one idea: cow print in purple, so the bottle is recognizable from across a fridge. The tagline, “Oopsie, it’s here!”, turns the delivery itself into the brand moment.

The launch set explains the service in three steps before it asks for anything, then closes on a waitlist. It is built to test demand in BGC and Makati before the first route runs.

Getting homeowners to ask the right first question

Apolaki helps urban Filipino households go solar. It assesses the home, matches the owner with a vetted installer and opens a path to financing. I co-founded the company and lead commercial and market entry.

The creative starts from the electricity bill people already feel, then invites them to check whether solar suits their home. The assessment is how people enter the product, so every ad points there.

Refillka · Kuha sa TingiRefill for sari-sari stores

Selling refill on value, not on guilt

Kuha sa Tingi lets sari-sari stores sell dishwashing liquid by the pump instead of by the sachet. The set makes the case in terms the shopper already counts in: what one bottle replaces, and what the same ₱5 buys. The women who run the stores are the face of it.

Pages built around one first step

I design and write sites around a single action. Apolaki's asks for one electricity bill and returns a savings estimate before any installer calls. BurnZone, a strength gym with two branches in Bengaluru, leads with a free first class and books trials over WhatsApp, the channel its members already use.

Building an audience from ordinary days

  • Shooting
  • Editing
  • Thumbnails
  • Reels

Living Alone Diaries is my own vlog series about working, studying and living alone in Manila. I shoot, edit and package every episode myself, on a phone, in cafés and on the street. The reels apply the same habits at a faster cut: a clear first second, tight pacing and one idea per clip.
